Unsere Story Wie ASS CAP® entstand

It all started with a butt crack. And a few shrimp. 🦐

I admit it: I had always found butt cracks peeking out of trousers absolutely dreadful. Especially my husband's, which seemed to wave at me several times a day.

Then came our new aquarium.

So that our daughter could also watch the shrimp, we deliberately placed it a little lower. My husband was thrilled and bent down several times a day to marvel at the little shrimp.

And while my husband stared at the shrimp, his butt crack stared at me.

Eventually, I had enough of the view. 

From a crazy idea to a little cap

Together we set out to find a solution. We searched the internet, but found nothing that really convinced us.

A simple crescent-shaped piece of fabric? Far too boring. If we were going to do it, it had to be something that not only served its purpose but also caused a laugh.

And then we had the idea: If a cap protects against the glaring sun, why not also against a glaring butt crack?

So we experimented with paper, origami, and self-folded mini caps. We tried different shapes and sizes until we finally found the right model.

From paper to ASS CAP® Original

The idea was set. Now we needed someone who could actually manufacture our little cap.

After an intensive search, we found a talented manufacturer in Bangladesh who could bring our idea to life.

Our paper models finally became a proper mini cap.

And because we both stand behind this idea, ASS CAP® is now our joint family business.

Small, cheeky and versatile

What originally started as a humorous solution to an everyday problem is now our ASS CAP® Original.

And the best part: The little cap doesn't just cause a stir at the waistband. It can also be used as a funny accessory for matching dolls or stuffed animals.
